1928 10th Anniversary of the Republic

Issued on 5th November 1928, this issue commemorates not only the 10th Anniversary of the Republic but has a surcharge for the War Orphans and Invalid Children Fund (the stamps were sold at twice face value). The portrait is of Dr.Michael Hainisch, who was the State President of Austria from 1920 to 1928. These stamps are line perf.12½.
